DELLINGR scented candle – god of dawn
Smells Like Spells dedicates this handmade scented candle to the Norse God of Dawn, Dellingr. They believe that the magical scent of the candle and the simple ritual of meditation and affirmation (included with the candle) can help:
- Feel more energy and joy
- Stimulate and strengthen the nervous system
- Clarify your mind and thoughts
- Gain physical and spiritual strength
In Norse mythology, Dellingr was the personification of the dawn. Nótt (the goddess of night) and Dellingr had a son, Dagr. The parents gave Dagr two horses with shining manes that illuminate the whole earth, and two war chariots, which they placed high in the sky so that Dagr could ride across the firmament day and night.
The magical scent of the candle is based on ancient customs, traditions and the belief that each plant and aroma has its own magical purpose. It is like a magic recipe, where each plant and its scent play an important aromatherapeutic and magical function. The fragrance notes complement each other, creating a high-class pyramid, where each aroma takes its place in harmony with the others.
In the set with the soy wax candle you will receive:

Fragrance notes and their properties:
- Helichrysum: often used in cleansing rituals and traditional African medicine. Helps relieve neurological problems and pain, and its tea is effective against coughs and colds. The Greeks called helichrysum “gold of the sun” because it accumulates solar energy, strengthens self-confidence, helps to let go of past traumas and hold the reins of life tighter.
- Frankincense: The name comes from the French "franc" meaning "luxurious". Frankincense has long been used to make fragrant incense, and was one of the gifts of the Three Kings to the Infant Jesus. In ancient Greece, frankincense resin was burned on altars and in temples because it slows and deepens breathing, which promotes calm and meditation. The scent of incense has a calming and relaxing effect, and is still used today during meditation.
- Juniper: since ancient times used to protect against evil spirits. The energy of the burnt plant helps to develop perseverance and the ability to distinguish lies. It protects the aura from aggression, helps to quickly find the right path in difficult situations. It helps to avoid destructive irritation, gain due authority and develops qualities such as nobility and grace.
